There is a thick mass of forest surrounding Faydell to its north and south sides. The forest is home to Wild horses among many other creatures. Towards the centre, the trees are at there thickest and tallest so it would be unwise to travel alone through the forest, as it can be a dangerous place if caught unawares...

In a flash of light, that shone throughout all the forest. Jakien suddenly felt his body thrust, as if all his limbs and body parts were being streched and pulled. He landed with a thud, scraping his knees and elbows. Close by Brandion reappeared, as disorinated as he was.
Where am I? Jakien asked himself as he stared at the trees towering above him. He had seen many trees on Stoneburn Island, but not so many as these. He managed to weave his ways through the trees without much difficulty, and it was lucky that Brandon was still very young, and match his pace easily. This place is full of prey. Brandion said in his head. He was right of course, this strange place was buzzling with the sounds, of rabbits, birds, deers, antolpe, and all sorts of creatures. It took all of his self control not to rush out and hunt until the sun went down. But he knew better then that, this place was new to him, a strange and exotic place. Who knew what type of dangers could await him here?
"We need to get back home, Brother" Jakien said to Brandion, but the problem was, how could he get back when he didn't even know where he was in the first place? He had to find a Brother, to ask how to get back home.

A girl galloped by on a white stallion. Her blonde hair flew behind her in the wind. Her eyes were jumping with happiness and her lips were formed into a smile. The stallion's hooves beat the ground. She slowed him down and dismounted. She let him graze and walked over to a stump. She sat down on it and began polishing her sword.

Drakan was trying to improve his riding skills. He was streaming through the trees on the back of his brown horse, Arkis. "Come on boy!" he yelled loudly. Arkis was young and swift, but Drakan wanted him to go even faster. He gave a sharp yell and kicked his heels into Arkis' flanks. Arkis didnt seem to like this, and with a snort he stopped suddenly, sending Drakan flying straight over his head. Looking up he found himself staring into the upside down face of a young elf. A beautiful young elf. He felt his face burn that familiar shade of red and he stood up quickly. "Ow" he said embarrassed and looked down at his boots, shuffling his feet.

Sapphire looked down upon the boy. "Oh my gosh are you ok?" she said standing. She blinked her sapphire eyes and looked into his grey ones. The white stallion she was riding rose his head.

"I think so" he said rubbing his forehead. "Arkis!" he called "Come here!" He clicked his tongue loudly, and out of a nearby clump of trees came his horse, a large mass of leaves poking from his jaws. "Excuse my greedy horse" he sighed "Its his fault i landed at your feet..." His earlier embarrassment had faded as he had begun to talk to the elf. As he looked at her properly for the first time, he realised he had met her before. "Sapphire right?" he asked. "I met you in the stables didnt I?" He remembered how she had climbed the tree beside the stables only a day or two before.

"Yes." she said. She nodded her head. The horse walked up to them. He nudged Sapphire's back and lipped her hair. She turned around. "Shoo!" she said. The stallion shook his head and jogged off. She picked up her sword and put it back in its holster.

"So why are you all the way out here on your own?" Drakan enquired. She had clearly been using her sword and Drakan wondered why. Getting tired of standing up, he sat himself down opposite Sapphire and shooed Arkis away. He promptly trotted towards Sapphires white stallion and sniffed nosily. Coming to the conclusion that this was not a female, he snorted lodly and stamped one foot. Finally he turned his attentions to the foliage surounding him. Drakan watched all of this with smile and picked at blades of grass which gre here and there on the forest floor.

"Oh. I was just taking a ride. I also wanted to practice with my sword." she said. The white stallion squealed and struck his front leg out at Arkis. He went back to grazing when he went away. Sapphire shook her head.

"Your sword trained?" Drakan asked the girl, with maybe a little too much suprise in his voice. "I'm an elite swordsman" He held his head up proudly. "Have you joined the army? I'm hoping to be able to become commander of the swordsman division" He realised he was talking very quickly and far too much and stopped suddenly. He looked up into Sapphires eyes and was mesmerized by their colour. "You have lovely eyes" he said without thinking and then turned away fast.

"Yes. I have sword trained. My father taught me." she said. "I have thought about it." she blinked a few times. The comment was something she wasn't expectings. "T-thanks." she said.

Drakan could feel the awkwardness that had arisen. "i didnt mean to..." He broke off, unsure of what to say. He smiled nervous;y and quickly tried t think of something to change the subject to. "Have you always lived in Erivale?" he asked. He had no urgent desire to know, but he knew it would fill the silence.

She smiled. "Its ok." she said. She looked around. "I haven't been here long. Just got here about a week ago." she said. She shook her head to get her blonde hair out of her eyes.

"Do you like it here?" he asked in a more casual way. "I love it!" he yelled quite loudly and laughed at himself. Stretching his arms up in the air, he layed back onto the hard ground. The sun was shining through the trees above him and the dappled sunlight freckled his face. He felt happy and more relaxed that he was in the bustling city.

She smiled and giggled a little. It was a very nice place.
I love it here. Better then the town I came from.
She said and looked at the trees. The wind played with her golden locks.
