Jessai watched as the boy left. She was a little confused but happy that he was fine. Before she knew it, he had gone and she was left alone once again. "I didnt even catch his name..." she laughed out loud. Turning back to the window seat, where she had been sitting before the boy arrived, she remembered her letter home. Many attempts lay scattered around the room, so far she hadnt written anything worth sending.
She picked up her pen and decided to write what she felt, rather than what she thought she should.
Dear Father and Firquin, I write this letter to you in order to assure you that i am safe and well, but i do not wish for you to come and find me. I am sorry for the way in which i left you both. But, i could no longer go on living such a sheltered life. I am happy here and have made friends and found myself a job. At first i found it hard to fit in, but i had help from the people here and i now rarely misunderstand situations. I ask you not to try and find me, just rest assured that i am safe.
Your daughter Jessai
Finally she had a letter that she could send, and as she closed and sealed the envelope, she felt a tear roll down her cheek.

Elizabeth walked into the Inn. It had been a clear night outside, so she'd left Patches there. She went up to the Inn Keeper and asked for a room. "Sure M'lady. Right away," he grabbed a key and told her the room number. Liz nodded her thanks and began walking up the stairs, taking her bag with her.
Liz entered her room. She saw that it wasn't as fancy as the one in Arinesse, but it had a beautiful view of the sea from the window. She dropped her bag on the bed and sat on the window ledge, staring out at sea.

Keelin stepped into the Inn and glanced around as the large door closed behind her, with a thump, she glanced around the small room and walked up to the Inn keepers bar. "Good evening, do you serve food here as well as offer rooms?" she asked the man and watched as he finished writing in a book before lifting his tired bloodshot eyes to look at her.
"Yes, want both for the night boy?" he asked as he turned and grabbed a iron key with a piece of leather hanging from a string on its end. "You get the last room on the end, its small but so are you. Food can be ordered by you take it up yourself, I serve no one." he told her, slapping the key upon the desk and turning to yell out a order for stew and cheese.
Turning back to face her, he held out his hand, "You pay now, I am to old to watch the door all night for those who skip out without paying before dawn." he explained and Keelin turned her back to him as she dug out three silver coins from her hidden money pouch. Turning she held them up and the man reached out and took two. "Ten minutes for your meal." he said turning and leaving her standing there alone, picking up the key she was surprised at its weight and curled her fingers around it as she waited for her food.

An hour later Keelin was sitting cross legged in front of the small fire place, her empty bowl that had been stew was sitting near her knee, her mug of ale almost half empty. She chewed slowly on the bread and cheese that was now the last of her meal, the fire danced in front of her as she pulled apart the thick hard crust of the bread and placed a sliver of cheese on it.
"The night will be a cold one, its money well worth spending to stay here." she told herself as the log snapped loudly and broke the silence of the room. It was a small dark room, one stubby candle that she had yet to light waited on the end table near the bed.
She watched the sparks fly up wards and hit the top of the bricked fire place. Setting the platter of cheese and bread aside for her breakfast she stood up and brushed the crumbs from her clothes, walking over to the bed in the dark room only lit by the orange glow of the fire, she pressed her hands down on the mattress.
Not one to be use to such comfort she grabbed the pillow and blanket from its length and brought them back to the floor. There was plenty of wood so she would be warm enough, taking advantage of the safety of this night, being in this room instead of out in the forests, she laid down and closed her eyes, sleep would be a easy pleasure this night.
*** Morning broke through the small room with rays of sunshine, Keelin turned and stretched out on the hard floor, the fire was nothing but embers, when she had finally stopped feeding it through out the night and fallen in a deep sleep.
Sitting up she rubbed the sleep from her eyes and looked towards the window. "Morning" she whispered, to no one. She added another log to the fire and finished the bread and cheese from the supper the night before. Today she was going to explore, determined to see all before she chose what to do next with her life.
A grin formed as she chewed her bread, her cheek puffing out from the mouth full, she was excited about the adventure she was making of her life, although it was starting out fairly slow, it would get better she was confident.
