The River Arin's source begins high up in the Valburn Mountains, and because of this on the way to the peak the beautiful Crystal Falls can be seen. The water from these falls is rumoured to be so pure that it can heal a cut within a few minutes. The rapids are fast flowing and can be dangerous if you're unlucky enough to fall in.

Laielyn groggily awoke, her head clear but every part of her body aching. She winced as she remembered the magic being let loose, unhappily admitting to herself that she had failed at keeping her magic contained. She had sworn she wouldn't use it agian, not until she''d been trained properly... Still, she was here now. But where was she exactly?
Looking about her, the elf could pick out a landscape very different from the one she'd left behind; it was snowy, rocky, and she could just about pick out the noise of running water. As the mist slowly cleared, she thought she could pick out several shadowy figures... So who exactly had she brought here? WHoever it was, it was quite unlikely they were going to be all that happy with her...
"H-hello?" She called ot uncertainly, crossing her fingers and hoping that whoever it was was friendly.

As the fog cleared, Dade took a step backward holding his throbbing head in his hands. He had no idea what had happened. One minute he was stood on the roof, trying to convince everyone to calm down, the next he was standing somewhere completely different, and unknown to him. Too late he realised he had stepped back too far, and he suddenly lost his footing and found himself falling backwards. The next thing he knew he had plunged into a body of water. Dade emerged from the ice cold water spluttering and coughing. The shock of the temperature change had shaken him enough, but combined with the fact that he was flowing at an extremely fast pace in what seemed to be some sort of rapids, he was getting increasingly more worried by the second. Struggling to keep himself afloat, he was suddenly glad that he had spent so much of his time swimming when he was younger. Suddenly, his acute hearing picked up a voice on the wind. He wondered if the others who had been on the roof were near-by.
"Help!" he yelled, as loud as he could. "Someone help!"

Vincent walked slowly, as for cautiously as he passed over some chasms in the cliffs of the new location he was transported to. He has his hand to his temple, it ached slightly. He had a headache for two reasons, one he had felt like he was hit in the skull with a mace. Two he was right next to the woman who cast the spell, he was foolish enough to let this happen. Vincent was usually calm, but he shouted in rage and punched the rock side wall to know the fact he was going to die out here.
Vincent had his spear at his side for a walking stick, he had to rest for a moment and try to relax. That's when he heard a soft voice, he thought of the girl he took hostage... if she had enough power to teliport herself,as for him...he would have to be careful. He moved closer to what he could see in the soft mist of the falls. It was Laielyn!
So..she sent me away..and brought herself...I truly underestimated her Vincent thought as he step forward, with a dark look in his eyes.
He bent down to her, and offered his hand to lift her up. Vincent had forgotten about his damaged arm, the blood flow had yet to stop. He only cared for her sake then his own He did feel abit better to know someone was out here with him, even if it was the person he kidnapped and put him out here in the first palce...
"...Ae you alright?"Vincent asked quietly as he lifted his hat to have his soft gray eyes meet hers. He did this just to show he hadn't any plans to kill her.But before he gave her a chance to answer he heard something, and pressed his finger to her mouth, and looked toward the sound. He didn't really notice what he did to quiet her, but the sound came from the pass he walked by, the rapids. " I think there's someone else out here... Stay here or by my side, just don't get in the way..."Vincent said cooly, as he jumped up, and took his spear to hang over his shoulder.
He ran off ahead hoping Laielyn would follow so he wouldn't have to have remorse if something bad happened to her. He wouldn't be able to forgive himself if he was in he was responsible for another death.

Laielyn frowned. There were definately others here... She stiffened as one figure approached her, and then relaxed as she realised her captor allowed her to look into his eyes. She automatically held out her hand to allow him to help her up, and then winced as she noticed the sleeve stained red with blood.
"I'm fine." She said shakily, and got herself to her feet. "Are you - " She stopped midsentance as he carried on talking, mentioning someone else.
The elf gave an exasperated sigh as he suddenly took to his feet and ran off. Stay here. She thought grouchily. As if I'm going to just stay here! She put one foot slowly forwards, then recovered herself and sped after him, treading lightly as she could and taking care to watch where she was going; she had no wish to fall into the rapids. But then... Was that a cry for help?
"Someone help!" Hearing the voice cry out for help again, Laielyn's heart leapt. Had she hurt someone bringing them here?! "Wait!" She called after the man who had been her captor. "Wait, I think that someone is in trouble! We should help, we should do something... Will you help?" Hoping he had heard her above the sounds of the winds and the waters, she skidded to a halt and looked beseechingly at him.

Dade swore loudly as he resurfaced again. He couldn't be sure that anyone had heard him yelling, or if in fact there was actually anyone else around. Either way, he was beginning to get tired with struggling to stay above the surface, and he didn't know how long he could keep it up for. He debated taking his boots off to lessen the weight dragging him down, but he realised that that would involve more struggling to get them off, and he would probably end up sinking whilst trying to remove them anyway. He tried to swim towards the bank, but the current pulling him further along was too strong to be fought against. He didn't know where the rapids would take him, but he was convinced that where ever they lead the journey would not be an easy one. The pull of the current was taking its toll on Dade's body, but he still swam against it as best he could.
He still couldn't see anyone on the bank, but he didn't really have a clear view. The temperature of the water was beginning to chill him deep inside, and combined with the exhaustion of struggling to stay afloat, Dade was acutely aware that he wouldn't be able to carry on much longer. But still he waited, hoping that someone would have heard his calls for help. Even more-so, he hoped there was actually someone around to hear.

Vincent stopped as she called for him. He turned his head slightly. "...I was already heading for where I heard the other voice..Don't worry.."He said in a slight annoyed tone.
He sighed as he continued his dash until they made it to the rapids. He stooped her from moving another step, by stretching out his left arm. He spotted and pointed out Dade to his captive. He ran down the side of the rapids, tracking the red haired head he found floating down the white waters.
"..I'm going to try to get him out..whatever happens, try not to stop me... for your own safety depends on it!"Vincent shouted, trying his best to out roar the rapids. His own hope of getting to Dade was jumping in himself..but he knew he would have to take off the hat and high collared cloak and reveal his identity. He shook his head, that didnt matter now, saving this person did... Vincent whipped off his hat, and un buttoned the claok, letting the wind take them. He then took a deep breath and jumped in, holding his cross spear, and swam out to Dade. It was much harder than vincent thought. The current was strong, but Vincent managed to get to Dade, only hitting his back against a large rock. He winced in pain, but held out his spear. "HOLD ON TO THIS..NOW!" Vincent shouted, as he was slipping off the rock. His dark hair damp as his elven tunic, and armor. He felt a sharp icy pain in his wound on his arm, but again igored the pain for himself.

((... ACK! I am so sorry this has taken me so long to reply to!! *blushes* I have been so very busy and guess I just forgot it was here *curses poor memory*))
Laielyn skidded to a halt, nearly toppling over the edge of the bank and into the raging waters of the river before the man stuck his arm out and stopped her. Grabbing hold of his arm so she didn't fall down, she regained her balance and then listened in some shock to what he was telling her. Surely he was't... he was't intending to jump in after the redhead in the water?
But yes - he was. Laielyn gasped as his flung off his cloak and hat - revealing what he truly looked like - and flung himself into the river. The elf started, and then stopped, trying as hard as she could not to panic. She was quite certain now that he was no cold-blooded killer, his face seemed to have some hidden warmth in her eyes, but that didn't help the situation...
He hit the water with a loud smack, and Laielyn flinched, desperately trying to think how she could help. Biting her lip, she resolutely ignored the man's instructions to stay put and she unsteadily made her way down the banks to the edge of the river. Just a little way out was the man, holding onto the redhead but looking as if he was going to slip... If only she could reach them! She looked admiringly at the man, wondering how he was able to fight against such pain, but then shook her head and snapped back into the present.
Looking about her, she was able to see where a tree's roots stuck out the edge of the bank. She was unsure how stable it was, but at least this migh enabl her to help a little. The elf struggled to get across the wet, slushy mix of earth, water and ice, and then fuelled by adrenaline she dragged the root out of the earth, ripping it out along as far as the two in the water were. By physically holding it out, she was able to get it close enough to her former captor that he might swim just a little way and grab hold of it.
"Can you pull yourselves back using this??" She yelled, her voice wavering only the slightest bit.
The tension was high, and Laielyn could only hope her captor had enough strngth left in him to make it back to shore.

Dade's stared as he began to make out figures appearing on the bank. He was shocked that there was actually anyone around to hear him yelling. But as the man, who he now recognised to be the man who was holding the elf captive, flung off his cloak and hat and dived into the water he swore to himself again. Dade was an extremely good swimmer, and he knew that if he couldn't pull himself out of the current then there weren't many other people who would be able to. By calling for help he had put the other man in the same position that he was. And there wasn't much chance of them getting out.
"The current's too strong..." he began to try and explain but a wave washed over his head and he spluttered. The man had his spear held out to him, and Dade managed to wrap his ice-cold fingers around the end, getting a good grip. The man had hold of the rock but appeared to be slipping off. Dade looked around and to his surprise and relief, he saw the elf who he had been trying to help in the first place holding out a tree root to the other man.
Dade didn't know how much strength the other man had left in him, but he was still holding tight onto the other end of the spear. Dade managed to summon what strength he had left and pulled himself closer using the spear. He grabbed onto the rock and tried to reach the root himself, but he wasn't close enough.
"Can you reach it?" he asked the man, hoping that he would be able to grab the end. Without it, Dade could see no way of getting out of the current.

The water was colder than Vincent's words with his clients as a mercenary . He tried his hardest not to black out from the immense pain in his arm, and back. The red haired man had the spear in his grip, he got closer to Vincent. With that, he felt slight relief, but then stress as he knew the harder part was just beginning. He noticed a figure along the side of the rapids. To much water flowing near his eyes to really see it. It called out to them
"Can yo-rselves back using th-??"
The water crushed in waves over his ears, but he could make sounds of the elf girl asking him to try using the root. Vincent gritted his teeth, he had asked her not to do something like this...there was a risk of getting her in too. He only made a weak nod, but his eyes switched to the red hair man, who tried to reach for the root, pulling them away from the rock he tried so hard to manage to keep still in these currents.
"Ca- you -ach it?"
The red hair man asked Valcari, He looked at the root, and only nodded, as he tried all his might to kick his legs on the rock, and flow to the root. Vincents fingers froze in the cool air, but he winced as he snatched the root's end in his hand.
"..Hurry..help him out first.." Vincent weakly commanded.
His arm that was holding to the elf's root was shivering as the two men stopped their flow in the rapids, thanks to Laielyn. Floating in the water he had his eyes looking up to her with much admiration for her saving them.. even though he didn't ask for it. He wish he hadn't threaten her before...She looked so graceful just sitting there. All Vincent could do in his weaken state was give her a slight smile as he rest his eyes, as he slowly lost consciousness, he whispered "..Thanks..."
