There are 6 divisions in the Erivale army: Cavalry, Swordsmen, Archers, Spies, Mages and Dragon Riders.
Cavalry, Swordsmen, Archers and Spies are the four basic divisions, ie. you may start training for them as soon as you have enlisted.
Mages and Dragon Riders are the higher divisions. To enter one of these divisions you must first have achieved a rank of Page in another division of your choice, and then been told you may apply by your current section Commander (anyone who applies without being told they may are very likely to be rejected). Mages are magic users (spell casters) and Dragon Riders are given a young dragon hatchling, with which they share a mental link and will become a lifelong companion. For any extra information about these higher divisions PM The Sovereign or check the 'Information and Guidance' thread You will be accepted into the army if you are age 16 or above. In order to enlist, you must have made at least 10 previous posts. In order to enlist in the 'advanced sections' (Dragonriders and mages) of the army, you must have 20 posts or more.
To train you must post in the training grounds, (where the rules about training posts have been explained).

About Training Posts (This information can also be found in the "Training Grounds" thread)
There are four ranks in the army training course, which you must obtain in order. Before you gain any of these ranks you may add "Recruit in the [Name of Division] Division" to your signature. The four ranks are:
Trainee: 1 post of 500 words Page: 1 post of 750 words Advanced: 2 posts of 750 words Elite: 2 posts of 1000 words [one post with your Commander, the other individually]
After you have made your post you must wait until it has been accepted by a member of staff (or the Commander of the division) before you can post for the next level or add your rank to your name/ signature. Please note that if you are required to make 2 posts, the first must be accepted before you can post the second.
(Please see 'Army Rules' for more information, or PM The Sovereign with any queries you may have)
When writing a training post you must write about a training session with the Commander of your section. The Commander will be the person who decides whether to accept your post. For the time being the Commanders for each section are as follows: Cavalry: Earl Christoph Archers: Earl Christoph Spies: The Sovereign Swordsmen: The Sovereign Mages: Lady Alianna Dragon Riders: Lady Alianna
The posts are to be colour coded: Cavalry: post in red Archers: post in green Spies: post in blue Swordsmen: post in brown Mages: post in beige Dragon Riders:post in purple
Any non-army training posts are not to be colour coded.
The posts must include a clear heading including which rank the post is for, in which section, and which Commander you are training with.

Information for Dragon Riders
When you have been recruited into the Dragon riders division, I will make a post with your egg choices in the Dragon keep. Once you have your dragon, you must start training in the Dragonriders division from scratch.
Dragon sizes
Obviously time on an RPG site is different to that of reality, so your dragons size will depend on the training sessions. I have included guidelines below.
Once you are a Recruit: Your Dragon is the size of a human head, your mental link is weak.
Once you are a Trainee: Your Dragon is the size of an Alsatian dog, and your mental link is stronger.
Once you are a Page: Your Dragon is the size of a horse, you are able to ride on it's back, but are unable to fly on it's back.
Once you are an Advanced: Your Dragon is the size of an elephant and now needs to be kept in the dragon keep. You can now fly on your dragons back and start to learn magic. Your mental link is strong.
Once you are an Elite: Your Dragon is the size of a small house. Only as an elite will your dragon learn to breathe fire. Your mental link so strong you can possess each others bodies. The riders magic is also strong.
Any other queries, please Pm a member of staff.
