A huge tiered building. On the highest levels there is a large, high ceilinged dragon hold for the dragons to stay in, each dragon hold also contains a smaller side room for the rider. The roof is open in the middle, making it easier for dragons to fly straight into the hold. The lower levels include the large furnaces which warm the dragon eggs, the kitchens (this has an entire level to itself, preparing meat for the many dragons) and the armory, where all the dragon armour is stored.
Dragon Keeper needed: Please see employment office, Arinesse.

Scarlet decided to pay the Dragon Keep a visit out of pure curiosity; two soldiers opened the doors for her, and she gave them a wary smile. The floor she stood on, didn't contain large dragons as she had expected, but appeared to be a welcoming hall of some sort. Walking to the far end, she climbed up the stairs in silence to the higher levels and, six flights later, she reached two large doors, equal in size to the doors at the entrance, but with one difference. There were no soldiers to open these doors for her. Scarlet pushed them open herself and went through cautiously. The doors swung closed behind her, leaving her standing in awe at the sight before her. Her father and his dragon had been killed when Scarlet was three, so she remembered little about either of them, except that her fathers dragon had been a red female. She moved away from the doors and just stood watching the different dragons in their keeps, absorbed in the way they moved so gracefully. Now and again, Riders walked hurriedly passed her, but no-one really paying her much attention. Then, a large sparkling red dragon flew through the open top of the Keep. It's scales glittered as though they were made of hundreds of interlacing rubies. It landed on the ground, talons clattering against the marble floor, and folded it's mighty wings. Scarlet clung wide-eyed to a column beside her, as she began to remember: A three year old Scarlet, her golden hair in ringlets, sat attempting to make daisy chains in the garden. Suddenly, a gust from overhead, flattened the grass and cast a shadow over her. She wasn't scared. "Dada!" she cried, jumping up and waving her arms in excitement, her soft white dress covered in grass stains and crushed daisy petals. A large red dragon landed infront of her, her father high up on it's back. "Look! Look what I made!" she cried, grinning triumphantly as she held a small higglety-pigglety daisy chain out to him. Her fathers Dragon snaked her long neck down to her, scales glittering. "For you." Scarlet said simply, draping the daisies over her nose. Scarlet stayed and watched the rider climb down from the dragon. As they removed their helm, long red hair tumbled down their shoulders, and Scarlet found her self slightly taken aback that the rider was a girl. She watched the Rider with her Dragon enviously. I wish I could do that she thought, sighing. Then: In fact, I could do that! I wanted to join the army...and, and now I know what as! She left the Dragon Keep displaying the same triumphant smile she had 14 years ago, vowing that the next time she entered the Keep, it would be to receive her Dragon egg.

(OOC: Scarlet, I don't know if you were talking about me in your previous post, but as everything fitted, I'm just posting like it was me.)
Lady Alianna slid down from her Dragon's back with ease and removed her stuffy helmet, allowing her hair to fall down around her shoulders. She then reached back up to Garnet's saddle and removed her bag, which contained a bundle of clothes. She was here to meet with the Sovereign, who was a good friend of hers, and Dragonback was the quickest way to reach the palace from Faydell. Garnet moved into her keep and lay down in the corner, tail flicking lazily. How long will you be? she asked, as Alianna changed into a more appropriate dress. Just for the evening, that's all. she replied, then finished dressing. In a few minutes, she had changed and dusted down the cream skirts of the dress. You look nice commented Garnet, snaking her long neck over to Alianna where she could inspect her with one large ruby eye. You think so? Alianna replied, clearly pleased. I'm sure he'll like it said Garnet, a hint of humour in her voice. Alianna glared at her, then regained her ladylike demeanor. I'm sure I don't know what you mean. she retorted, promptly leaving the Keep. Garnet's lip curled back revealing large pointed teeth as big as fist, in a Dragon-like smile, as she let Alianna's denial stand.

Rider Scarlet's Egg Choices
Lady Alianna waited in the keep for Scarlet to arrive. She had reached page in cavalry, and had been accepted into the Dragon-riders division. The first step now was to choose her egg, of which she had three.
The eggs were warming in the large fires in the bottom of the Keep. In the first fire lay a red egg, in the second fire a green egg and in the last, a silver egg.
"Which one will it be Scarlet?" Lady Alianna asked; most riders knew which egg it would be theirs the moment they set eyes on it.

Scarlet looked at the eggs before her in silence. Which one? she thought to herself. A red dragon, like my father? she considered, then decided against it. She was following in her fathers footsteps, but that wasn't a good enough reason to choose a red dragon. A silver dragon she thought. That would be exciting, I mean, silver seems different, rare even.
Then Scarlet looked at the green egg. It was a deep emerald colour, which was enhanced with the contrast of the orange flames. Something drew her towards the egg, something she couldn't quite put her finger on.
"The green egg please." she said, her voice quiet, but unfaltering.

OOC: Congratulations Scarlet, you are now a dragon rider. You can post IC describing your naming of your dragon hatchling etc. (bear in mind your newborn hatchling is about the size of a human head, it cannot breathe fire until you reach elite, and the mental link between you will be weak at first.) I look forward to seeing you in training.
IC: Lady Alianna allowed Scarlet to remove her dragon from the remaining fragments of egg.
"Good Luck, Scarlet" she said smiling, then added in a more serious tone, "I hope you realise what having a dragon means. You will never again be alone, but being a dragon rider will bring many obstacles that you must overcome."
"When your dragon is big enough, you will be given a dragon keep. At the moment, you should be fine keeping it in the inn or wherever you're staying."

Rider Carmen's Egg Choices
Lady Alianna waited in the keep for Carmen to arrive. She had reached page in the archers division, and had now been accepted into the Dragon-riders division. The first step was, of course, to choose her egg, of which she had three.
The three eggs were warming in large fires at the bottom of the Keep. In the first fire lay a purple egg, in the second fire a red egg and in the last, a blue egg. "Which one do you want Carmen?" Lady Alianna asked; as most riders knew which egg it would be theirs the moment they set eyes on it.

Carmen walked in, seeing Lady Alianna and her three egg choices. First she thought of the red one. The same color as my hair, she thought, but didn't really want it. The blue one was very pretty, but she couldn't help finging herself drawn to the Purple one. "The purple egg please," She said, confidently.

Rider Nelra's Egg Choices
Lady Alianna waited in the keep for Nelra to arrive. She had reached page in the cavalry division, and had now been accepted into the Dragon-riders division. Warming in the fire were three large dragon eggs, a Blue egg, a Turquoise egg and a Dark red egg.
"Which egg will you choose Nelra?" Lady Alianna asked, when she saw the elf approaching.

Nelra looked over the three eggs carefully, considering each egg fully before moving on to the next. The dark red egg was the first she looked at, but after a few moments decided against it, she couldn't see herself with a dark red dragon. She considered the blue egg, she liked blue, but it didn't feel like it was meant for her. She turned to the final egg, the turquoise egg, it felt almost like it was calling to her.
"I choose the turquoise egg." she said softly.

"Congratulations Nelra, I'm sure you and your dragon will work hard. And I hope to see you both at the training grounds soon!"
Alianna hurried away from the Keep, she had been so busy recently- but always managed to make time for those in her dragonriders division.
OOC: Nelra, any questions feel free to PM, and please make sure you've read my thread about information on dragons. Well done.

Rider Matt's Egg Choices
Lady Alianna waited beside three eggs in the fire. At the far end sat a beautiful blue egg, in the middle a sparkling silver egg and at the far end a gleaming Dark red egg
"So Matt, which egg do you wish to choose. Perhaps you have a favorite colour or perhaps you just have a feeling as to which one will become your future companion?"

Matthew walked into the Dragon Keep excitedly. He saw Lady Alianna and the three eggs. He spent a long while staring at them, but was suddenly drawn to the silver one. The way it glimmered and how it seemed to call to him.
"The silver one," He said confidently. He felt a certain presence in the egg that was moving. He gladly accepted his new partner and said to Lady Alianna, "I'l see you again in training," He nodded, prepared to leave.
