Name: Flinn Denys
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Appearance: Light brown/sandy blonde hair, that's really a bit to long and permanently looks windswept. He usually looks rugged, with a strong jaw and light hazel eyes. He is tall, at over six feet, and despite his size he is agile and a good runner.
Personality: Easygoing, slightly above average intelligence, with a sincere in interest in how everything works. He's always curious and asks far to many questions than he should. Although not naturally argumentative- Finn will stand his ground if provoked. He has an outdated sense of Chivalry, and finds it hard to resist as damsel in distress.
Strengths: His honesty, frankness, and sharp wit. He is a natural with a horse, and is not afraid of a bit of hard work.
Weaknesses: Doesn't know how to fight properly using anything other than his fists, can be overly protective and constantly finds himself in awkward situations that he creates by mistake.
Magic: None
Fighting Ability: Fists, just about competent with a bow an arrow.
Character history: Finn grew up on his parents farm. It was an isolated place, he rarely saw anyone else other than farm folk, who periodically visited their farm to trade goods such as cloth and spices. Finn's family were self sufficient, so there was no real need to visit any of the local villages.
Finn grew up with his two other brothers (he was the middle boy) and his sister. They all helped on the farm (except Imajane, his sister, who worked indoors.) Finn's lifestyle was full of hard work, with little reward, but he was happy and grew up blissfully unaware of what he was missing out on.
When he was 14, after a particularly bad harvest, his mother fell ill and died after several months. Imajane took over all the household chores. Several months after that, his father left to trade with the neighboring villages. He didn't return. Finn's older brother took over the farm, and for the next few years they made do. His older brother married a girl from a nearby farm, which relieved Imajane of her duties so she could help on the farm as well. Now that the farm had stabilized, Finn decided that he would find other work in one of the larger cities, as he would be more help earning money that way, than being a farm hand. He didn't receive much encouragement, but his mind was set. Just after his 18th birthday, he left the farm on their light grey pony and rode east- to Arinesse.
