Full of hustle and bustle, this coastal marketplace has many stalls. The most overpowering of which, by smell standards, are the seafood stalls: freshly caught fish from Swyncrest. Other stalls include food stalls, clothes stalls. You name it, there's a stall for it! Feel free to barter with the stall owners in order to get the cheapest deal!

Scarlet had only been in Swyncrest for less than an hour but she already decided that she liked the seaside town. It was smaller than Arinesse, but still seemed big to her as her home town was small, just about the size of Faydell. She had left Ember in the towns stables and wandered with Meral into the town centre. Meral was really getting a bit too big to be coming into the town with her as he was about the size of a grown horse. Most of the towns people gave them a wide berth.
Scarlet found herself in the market place; she felt slightly disorientated by how much was going on. Loud voices shouted, trying to sell their wares and people hurried past from stall to stall. The smell of seafoods was also very strong. I hope Drakan will be able to find me here she thought to herself as she made her way in the opposite direction from the seafood sellers.

Drakan wandered into the market place. He had never seen such a busy place in all his life. There were all sorts of people doing all sorts of things. He sat on a bench in the centre and looked around. A small group of young elves were playing with their toys outside a house and he smiled, remembering when he used to do the same thing.
He watched as one of the little girls was teased by her friends. He smiled and turned back to the market. There were so many people here he wasnt sure if he would ever find Scarlet, but then he noticed a large space amongst the crowds. On closer inspection Drakan saw Sarlet and...Meral. His heart sunk. Why had she brought that pesky creature wih her. He walked over and grinned at her, completely ignoring the dragon.
"Hey you!" he said "Where have you been!?" He clasped his good hand over his bandaged one as if to safe guard it from Meral, who seemed to look pleased with himself.

"Well I've been here, and that's about it!" replied Scarlet, watching with some amusement, as Drakan completely blanked Meral. It was a brave thing to do, as Meral was easily as tall as Drakan now, and could do far worse than the nip he had given him earlier. Scarlet wouldn't have thought that Drakan was one to bear a grudge, but obviously this wasn't the case.
Meral didn't seem to bothered that Drakan didn't pay him attention; he got enough from everyone else, and Scarlet could tell he thought petty arguments above him now. Instead, he amused himself by puffing smoke rings at the market children who ran away screaming every time he did.
"Shall we go down to the sea then?" asked Scarlet, "I'm not really sure which way it is though, all these stalls look the same to me..."

Drakan nodded and pointed across the market. "That way i think" He sidled past a grop of dwaves who seemed to be arguing with a market trader about the size of potatoes. They turned left at a jewellery stall and then squeezed between an elf who seemed to be dancing for money and her audience. Drakan stopped briefly. There was something mesmerizing about the way she was moving and somethiing about the dance reminded him of his home. When the elf finished her routine, she looked at Drakan. In his usual fashion, he winked and threw her a grin. Embarrassed she turned away and Drakan continued to the beach with Scarlet in tow.

It was a few days sine the ball ended, and Jessai had spent most of that time in her room at the inn. Attempting to write a letter home. So far, she had not managed to write anything worth sending and had simply filled the room with bits of wasted parchment.
The rest of jessai's time had been spent in the Swan and Staff in Arinesse, working and so today jessai had decided to relax.
The weather was sunny but quite cold, and jessai was wearing her working clothes and a plain woollen shirt. She wandered around the market happily, taking in all the sights and sounds.
She laughed as a group of children chased one another round her feet, almost tripper her. Nearby, a woman selling fruits called to Jessai. "Hungry my dear?" Jessai smiled and payed for a couple of apples. Munching, she continued on her way to Faydell.
