The Earl took a sip of his wine, and realising there was only a drop left in the bottom, drained the remainder of the liquid. He looked around as he was addressed by someone near by. He saw Carmen standing a little way off, holding a glass of wine, and offering him one. He eyed his own empty glass beside him and decided having another so soon would not have been the best idea.
"I'm afraid I will have to decline your offer of a drink, my dear," he said, standing up and placing his almost empty plate on the table. "I have just finished a glass myself, and I am sure that another would hinder my dancing abilities." He bowed slightly and held out his hand to Carmen in a most gentleman-like manner.
"Speaking of which, would you care to dance?" he asked, smiling his most dazzling of smiles.

(I was talking to you Morgan, sorry, I didn't realise I never said you're name once! ) "Scarlet." she replied, shaking his hand and noting how he clutched his side in pain, still, if he insisted he was alright... She glanced around, then began to comment on the number of people dancing, when Trysten appeared, he looked like he was on a mission. Whilst he spoke to morgan, Scarlet stood up and with a smile excused herself and wandered back into the crowds. The ball was a beautiful occasion, but she would much rather be elsewhere- she considered leaving, but something told her she should stay, she wandered contently through the guests not really looking for anyone in particular, but just trying to enjoy the evening.

Carmen smiled as the Earl offered her a dance. She put down her ful glass of wine and took his hand gracefully. She walked out onto the dancefloor and curtsied. I hope Draken..., the she stopped for a second. Draken, she spotted him on the other side of the room, looking at her. She winked at him, hoping that it would excuse her leavving him and dancing with Earl. What was she supposed to do decline the Earl? She took the Earl hand again, and Let him spin her around the dance floor.
Then Nexa's voice filled her head. Carmen! She tried her best to not show the Earl that she was talking to Nexa while she danced. What is it? Nexa sent feelings of fear to Carmen. I need to talk to you now! Carmen repiled, After the dance please? Nexa sent a bit of anger to her. Right Afterwards!

Sapphire walked over. "I shall fetch my horse. Trysten. You work on getting him outside with out any more injuries done." she said jokingly. She jogged up the stairs and out fetching Gladiator. She whistled and the giat Lippazzanner cantered towards her. "Come on Trysten! Its cold!" she said and snuggled up against Gladiator for warmth.

Post by Finn Denys on Oct 14, 2006 11:45:50 GMT
On hearing the princess's voice, Finn spun around trying not to give a yelp of surprise. He hadn't thought she had seen him and if she had seen him, been able to follow him. He paused for a few seconds whilst Rose sent the guards away, taking the time to think about what he was going to say.
"I left because..."
It was probably best he didn't tell Rose he left because he felt like an idiot for not realising she was the princess, it wouldn't exactly throw him in good light.
"I wasn't feeling too well," he lied "I'm just going to get some fresh air. Enjoy the rest of your ball, princess." he bowed slightly, ignoring the fact his ears turned a bright red as he uttered the word princess. He then hurried down the hall, not turning to look back, even when he realised he was heading in the wrong direction.

The Sovereign asked around, wondering where Rose had got to, he was soon directed to the door at the edge of the ballroom where he saw Rose standing by herself, staring down the coridoor.
"Rose!" he called, beckoning her over, "What are you doing out here?" he walked over to her and continued without giving her a chance to answer, "Come on," he said, taking her hand and leading her back into the ballroom. "It's only right that the princess gives a speech at her ball." he walked up to the head of the room and gestured for the minstrels to stop playing, then waited until a hush fell over the room.
"They're all yours" he added quietly to Rose.
(OOC: Seeing as the ball ends tomorrow, you might wanna include leaving in your next post here. When i say the ball ends, it means all the admin etc will leave- although you can post after sunday saying your character is leaving. [Also, I'm not powerplaying Rose in this post, I've sorted it out beforehand with her])

Morgan looked gratefully at Trysten and the girl, slightly sorrowfully watching the girl Scarlet leave. "Nice meeting you..." He added softly, although he was quite certain she hadn't heard him.
Shifting in his seat slightly and wincing as the movement caused him some pain, he feverently thanked the goddesses for sending Trysten his way. "Thank you," He said. "I would appreciate some help, if you have the time to spare... I'm Morgan." He added. "I'm sorry to cause you any trouble, but I think I do need to find a healer..."
HE got unsteadily up from his seat, and moved uncomfortably forward, a slight shuffle in his step as he dragged his left leg along the floor. "Is it far?" He asked nervously. He was strong enough, but he knew that it would be difficult for him to go much further. Thankfully at that point Sapphire offered to fetch her horse, and he smiled thinly at Trysten. "Never mind..." He added with a hint of humour in his voice, and then proceeded to uncomfortably make his way across the floor and out of the ballroom.

Post by Jessai Kaela on Oct 15, 2006 11:58:08 GMT
Jessai had soon become bored, through watching everyone else. She was finding it hard to keep her eyes open.
Many people had already left the ball, and Jessai knew it was almost over. She stood up slowly, almost losing her balance as she did so. Yawning heavily, she headed across the dance floor to the doors. The guards bowed their heads as she left, and she curtsied slightly in return to say thankyou. She had been having a lovely evening, but she wished she hadnt left Matthew. i wonder where he is.. she thought to herself.
Once Jessai had reached the cool air outside, her tirdness seemed to fade quite quickly. She realised how far she had to go to reach her room at the inn in swyncrest. Pulling her closk tighter around her shoulders, she set off in the direction.

Matthew saw Jessai leaving. He decided he should go also. Quickly he ran out inot the cold night air. "Jessai!" He called her name. Sadly she was gone. Matt wondered if Liz was still in the ballroom. I should go apologize. But something held him back, for some reason her didn't want to go back. He began to head for the hotel, but stopped at the sight of a dragon. A horse sized purple dragon sat near the entrance to the palace. It looked at him and he remembered that it was rude to stare. He continued walked, wishing that he had a dragon that would wait for him.

Liz had spent the whole ball crying in a corner. She saw her brother having a fantastic time with some girl. She longed to apologize to him. After that she walked towards the food table and ate small bits of food. She hadn't been eating much, and knew it was unheathly. Then she watched Matt leave, tears rolling down her cheeks. Elizabeth left the ball taking out her beautiful hair and holding up her beautiful gown. She got outside into the cold night air and looked for Matt. He was gone and she wated to leave too. The she ran towards the stables and looked for Patches. She was leaving Arinesse for Faydell.

Post by Princess Roseanne on Oct 15, 2006 18:03:40 GMT
Rose stood before the crowd and cleared her throat nervously. "I'd just like to thank everyone for coming tonight..." she threw a glance towards to Sovereign and Lady Alianna for encouragement and then continued:
"I am glad that everyone could make it, I hope you all had a lovely evening and...I look forward to seeing you all in Arinesse." she spoke quickly as she was nervous, but also politely and clearly so that even the people at the back could hear her. As she stepped down, she was aware that most people were beginning to leave, and that she probably should as well.
"Thank you uncle Valros." she said with a smile, stepping towards the Sovereign, "I had a lovely evening." And with that she left the ballroom for her chambers. She was exhausted- and wanted to be able to explore the city the next day.
[OOC: The ball is now over!]

Post by Drakan Thrice on Oct 15, 2006 23:01:48 GMT
Drakan had been watching as Carmen and the Earl chatted, inside he was jealous but he was trying his hardest to keep his temper under control. It took all of his strength to do so, and to keep him from punching Earl Christoph.
However an apologetic look and a wink, stopped drakan from worrying. He watched as Carmens light figure graced the dancefloor once again, this time with the Earl. Drakan could barely tear his eyes away from Carmens form, as she spun and twirled around the room.eventually as the music stopped and the earl bowed Drakan dashed over.
He stod with Carmen as Princess rose brought a close to theball. "Would you like me to walk you home?" drakan asked carmen with a slight smile on his face.

Carmen smiled at Draken, hoping he hadn't been too jealous. "I would love it if you walked me home," She said taking his arm. She'd completly forgotten about Nexa and walked out of the ballroom into the cold night.
As they turned the bend, a very impatient looking Nexa stood. Just one more dance? She yelled in Carmen's head. Carmen took her arm away from Draken and put her hand on Nexa's snout. I'm sorry, she said her smile fading. She saw some anger leave Nexa's eyes. But she didn't reply and ran down the street, taking off into the night.
Carmen watched Nexa's flgiht and felt guilt tear her heart. She lookked back to Draken for reassurence. She grabbed his arm again, but she was no longer happy, she felt terrible about what she'd done to Nexa. I'll have to do something special for her, she though, hoping Nexa heard it.
