Luthien flushed. She wasn't sure she should tell anyone of her dream. But she felt she had too in this case. "I hope to become a Dragon Rider." She said sheepishly. Her face turned a deep shade of pink as she stated her most hidden secret. Maybe she was going to far. She pressed herlips ightly together, hoping she could learn to teach her tounge a few rules. "It is no problem for me to sleep in the stables." Luthien said after a while.

Drakan listened to Luthiens hopes. "Lots of people want to join the dragon rider division" he said. "But i hear it is alot of training. I prefer hand to hand combat" he smiled. "Any time you want to spar, just tell me!" he grinned and trotted on, away from Luthien. He needed to go to the market for food and hay for the stables, but as he rode away he looked back wondering if Luthien would come too.

"Um, do you want company?" Luthien said, not unkindly. "Sure, I'll match your blade any day!" she grinned from ear to ear. "I have reason's for joing the dragons riders." Luthien said. "I want to be the first of my land to do it! Also, my father was a dragon rider, its in my blood." She said. She trotted after Drakan, feeling a small bond of freindship that she had hardly felt in years, save for her mare.

((I thought I saw someone use this common type of writing(flashing back) And thought it would be cool to give a little insight on my character!)) Two shaded firgures walked throught the emerald forest, moonlight washing the land in a faint glow. The two elves were talking animately while carefully treading throught the woodland. A low horn blow sounded in the distance. The pale she-elf looked up, weariness and sadness replacing her kind emerald eyes. Then, the male-elf stopped and turned the other towards him. "Luthien" He whispered. Luthien brushed her pale violet hair away from her face. "Glorfindel" she whispered back. Glorfindel put his warm hand on her cheek. "Do not forget me." he said, tears welling up in his blue eyes. His pale hair looked even paler as the moon rose in the velvet sky. He bent down and brushed his lips against Luthien's. "I will not." she said, weeping openly now. Glorfindel knelt befoore Luthien, extending his hand with a small flower/gold inlaid ring. "Luthien, be with me forever, even in death." he said, slowly slipping the ring onto her hand. Luthien bent down and they held eachother for a great while. The horn sounded again, nearer this time. An elf on horseback trotted to Glorfindel with his steed. "Come. War is ahead." he said. Glorfindel gave Luthien one lat, long look, then leapt to his horse. he waved to Luthien and tossed a lilly to her. Luthien sank further to the ground after he galloped away. An endless flow of salty tears fled her eyes as sne wep the whole night through.
Luthien followed Drakan, still waiting his answers. He looked familiar to her, as if someone from a distant dream. Luthien shook her head. She wouldn't think to the past. Not now. Not when she had set up a new life. She fingered the ring on her hand and the lilly in her hair. A tear formed on her face. She brushed it away defiantly. She would not remember.

Drakan turned back as Luthien spoke, but did not stop riding. "Some company would be nice!" he called, "Im headed to market, i need to get some stick for the stables!"
He urged Arkis into a gentle trot in order for Luthien to catch up. He liked this elf, and she seemed to be more like him than some of the other Erivaleans. He smiled a little smile to himself as he rode beside her. "Is there anywhere in erivale you would like me to show to you?" he asked.

Luthien's eyes lit up. "Of course!" she cried. "Well, the dragon keep, the palace, the gardens, the........" she rambled off a list of places she had been dying to see, but had never had the means to. She looked at the kind elf in a new respect. She had barely known him a few moments ago, but now it seemed as if she had known him a lifetime. She luaghed and smiled as she had not done for many hundreds of years. Luthien patted her mare and the two elves trotted right beside eachother. Luthien looked at Arkis, confusion and wonder in her eyes. "So, is he a good steed? is he footsure? I've never ridden, let alone seen a true human horse before I came here. So many things aree different here." she sighed and curled the mane of her horse through her fingers. it felt like lace dripping through an endless vine of flowers.

Drakan looked at Luthien and thought he could detect a hint of sadness in her eyes. "We're nearly in Swncrest now" he said, "After we have been to the market we could head to the beach? Have you seen the sea before?" Drakan thought the sea was incredible. Before he had come to Erivale, the sea had merely been a myth to him. He wondered if it was the same for Luthien, she had come from a very different tribe of elves to himself. "And then on our way back to the stables we could visit the dragon keep?" he smiled at her.

Luthien's eyes filled with wonder. "The sea?" she cried. Sairalindë jumped at the sudden noise. "Sorry." Luthien whispered to Sairalindë. "I thought the sea was just a myth! I came here by horse. Is it true, the sea is green as jade and as blue as sappires? What creatures does it hold? Have you ever been in the water? does it turned red come sunfall?" Endless questions flowed through Luthien's mind and onto her lips. She had always dreamed of seeing the sea, but her city laughed and scorned her "imagination". Oh how she would've loved to show them the marvelous ocean! Her mother would be proud. Sairalindë snorted and gave an annoyed kick. Luthien then noticed she had stopped completely while pondering. She spoke Sairalindë forward, a red hue enveloping her face.

Drakan pushed open the doors to the stables. The sweet smell of hay mingled with fresh manure greeted him and he smiled. It was nice to be back. Recently he had been busy in the palace, meeting with other elites and hadnt had any time with the horses. He could see that Nelra had been doing well keeping the stables running.
He pulled and apple out of his pocket and tossed it over to Arkis, who immediately swallowed it whole. Drakan laughed. Ginger, in the stall next to him looked over, seemingly sad. "All right" Drakan grinned and tossed another apple to her. Then he headed to the back room of the stables.
